Domestic violence is a complex issue that cannot be effectively addressed through a one-size-fits-all approach. I provide Domestic Violence Education Classes that integrate both trauma-informed principles and cognitive behavioral strategies to help participants understand the underlying factors that contribute to abusive and violent behavior. By exploring the impact of past experiences, beliefs, emotions, and learned patterns of behavior, participants gain insight into the drivers of their actions and develop healthier ways of thinking and responding. This dual approach is highly effective in identifying the roots of harmful behavior, challenging thinking patterns that support abuse, and promoting lasting behavioral change, accountability, and healthier relationships.
For more than 36 years, I have dedicated my career to the field of domestic violence prevention, intervention, and education. Throughout my professional journey, I have worked in a variety of roles focused on promoting safety, supporting accountability, and helping individuals and families build healthier lives.
My passion has always been helping people stay safe while empowering others to make meaningful, lasting changes in their behavior. I believe that people can learn new ways of relating to others, develop healthier communication skills, and create intimate partner relationships that are free from violence, coercion, and abuse.
After decades of working in the domestic violence field, I chose to offer educational services directly to participants because I believe this is one of the most effective ways to create positive change. Working one-on-one and in educational settings allows me to maximize my impact by helping individuals understand the effects of abusive behavior, take responsibility for their actions, and develop the tools necessary to build respectful, healthy relationships.
My approach is grounded in accountability, respect, and the belief that change is possible when people are provided with education, support, and practical strategies for personal growth. I am committed to helping participants successfully complete court-ordered requirements while gaining valuable skills that can lead to safer relationships and a more positive future.
Every person deserves the opportunity to live a life free from violence and abuse. My goal is to help participants make the changes necessary to achieve that outcome—for themselves, their partners, their families, and their communities.
